Oakland Press Reviews A Doll's House, Part 2 at Tipping Point

excerpt: “Directed by Kate Peckham, the 90-minute production (no intermission) is well-paced, with the characters’ movements delineating the scenes. The entire play takes place in the simple yet beautifully appointed sitting room of Nora’s former home, designed by Monica Essen. Period costumes are by Shelby Newport, with lighting by Neil Koivu and sound design by Sonja Marquis.

As for the social issues, while married women have more legal rights than they did in 1879, the question remains whether things have really changed on a more fundamental level. Experience has taught us that women cannot “have it all.” So, when something has to give, who typically does the giving? Are we softer on men who walk out on their marriages and children than we are on women who do the same thing?

“A Doll’s House, Part 2” raises these and other discussion-worthy questions, and this outstanding production provides the perfect opportunity to start the conversation.” Read the full review here: https://www.theoaklandpress.com/entertainment/th-century-feminist-protagonist-returns-in-a-doll-s-house/article_0e4ad264-eb7b-11e9-a60a-9bd52d30a83f.html
